Volcano Hike

The volcano trip is a must for anyone coming to the Big Island.  If you happen to be a geology student or in the field this is probably why you have come to the Big Island!  But for the rest of us it is simply amazing! Many of the sights will remind you of the movie Jurassic Park.  Tree ferms and lush vegetation combined with nearby fields of fresh lava beds help you realize you are no longer in Kansas. Depending on when you arrive, you may see steam clouds created by the molten lava entering the ocean, glowing lava fields, & actually flowing lava rivers.  Trip includes transportation from Kona, daypack, snacks, beverages, ice, and guide. 8 am - 5 pm

Kealakekua Bay Snorkel & Hike Hawaii

This trip is for those who want to combine their love of a backcountry trek with superb snorkeling.  Daypack, snacks, beverages, ice, snorkeling gear and guide are included in the price.

The hike involves a 1500' climb, but the extra effort will be rewarded with beautiful ocean vistas, sweeping pali panoramas and tropical terrain!  The round trip distance is 4-5 miles and total hiking time is about 2 hours. The terrestrial portion of the trip is puctuated by an hour of refreshing snorkeling in the warm, blue waters of Hawaii.  After the hour of relaxation in the water, we prepare for our return trip.

Blue Lagoon Hike

This hike takes you to one of the most scenic areas on the Kona coast.  An easy and enjoyable hike for people of all ages and abilities, you will hike on fairly flat terrain for about 1/2 hour before arriving at a bay featuring turtles, an ocean fed lake, and a blue lagoon.  Swim suits are recommended to take advantage of the opportunity to swim at this amazingly beautiful lagoon.  Cameras are highly recommended to capture the postcard like vistas that abound at this location.  Daypack, walking stick, snacks and guide are included.
